Time Out Market Dubai is set to be the number one food and cultural destination to celebrate Ramadan in the city this year, with a series of exclusive meals hosted by the Market’s star chefs, live entertainment every evening and exciting Iftar menus on offer during the whole month.
The entire venue will be decked out with sparkling lights and Ramadan decorations, with the Time Out Market Dubai pop-up transforming into a traditional majlis, where visitors can stop by for the perfect photo opportunity. The Market will also be hosting Mohamad Chamdin, a talented oud player, who will be providing a soundtrack of chart-toppers with an Arabic twist every evening from 6pm to 8pm.
With a host of Iftar offerings available, the star throughout the month will be the Market’s exclusive Chef’s Edition dinners taking place at The Editor’s Table every Thursday and Friday, hosted by Emirati kitchen Al Fanar. The curated foodie affair welcomes both fasting and non-fasting guests to indulge in the tradition and purpose behind the Iftar meal, whilst discovering authentic culinary delights. The set menu spotlights traditional Emirati recipes that have been handed down through generations including Samboosa, Harees, Chicken Machboos, Prawn Biryani, Legaimat and Karak to name a few. The Al Fanar Chef’s Edition at The Editor’s Table is priced at AED 500 per person with drink pairing.
21grams Balkan Bakery & Deli will also host Iftar at the Editor’s Table on 12th and 26th of April. The menu will feature delicious items including Salted Dates stuffed with Pistachio Dust, Tomato Consommé Shot with Celery and Zaatar Gremolata, Phyllo Pie with Cheese and Cardamom Sauce, Imam Bayildi, Mussels in Saffron Sauce, Lamb Tenderloin with Orzo Guvech and Arabic Coffee Brûleé, priced at just AED 520 per person with drink pairing. These Editor’s Table Iftars can be booked by email at reservationsdxb@timeoutmarket.com.
Throughout the month, Time Out Market Dubai’s atrium will be illuminated with lights, providing the perfect ambience to indulge in some of the many Iftar specials straight from the kitchens of popular homegrown restaurants – including 21grams Balkan Bakery & Deli, BB Social Dining, Liban by Allo Beirut, Pickl, Reif Japanese Kushiyaki and Masti. Each restaurant has prepared its own unique lineup of dishes – some featuring a contemporary take on traditional favourites such as Pickl’s Vimto-flavoured Milkshake and Ice Cream Sando, 21grams Balkan Bakery & Deli’s Lamb Tenderloin with Orzo Guvech, Pitfire Pizza’s Pulled Lamb Shawarma Pizza, and Reif Japanese Kushiyaki’s Lamb Shank with Spiced Japanese Rice.
The award-winning Indian fusion restaurant Masti will be offering two separate menus for the month of Ramadan; a non-vegetarian menu priced at AED 110 and a vegetarian menu priced at AED 90 per person. Diners will be in for a treat as each menu features all-time favourites including Vegetable Samosa, Paneer Makhani, Butter Chicken and Gulab Jamun.
