Dubai, UAE – March 24, 2025
Aster DM Healthcare, a leading integrated healthcare provider in the GCC, is once again proud to announce its collaboration with Dubai Police to distribute Iftar Kits to motorists across Dubai during the holy month of Ramadan. This initiative, now in its 6th year, reflects Aster DM Healthcare’s commitment to giving back to the community and spreading joy during the blessed month.

The campaign, led by Aster Volunteers, the global CSR arm of Aster DM Healthcare, in collaboration with Dubai Police, aims to provide essential Iftar kits to individuals stuck in traffic while breaking their fast daily. Over 100 volunteers, including Aster Volunteers and community members, will distribute these kits across five major traffic junctions in Dubai.
Under this collaboration, volunteers from Aster DM Healthcare comprising employees from Aster Hospitals & Clinics, Aster Pharmacies, and community volunteers will deliver 150,000 Iftar boxes over 30 days. On average, around 5,000 Iftar boxes are distributed daily across Dubai, with some days reaching up to 6,000. These boxes, arranged by volunteers at Aster DM Healthcare, contain a packet of dates, water, a cake, and juice, offering much-needed relief to motorists during the evening rush hour.
Dr. Azad Moopen, Founder Chairman, Aster DM Healthcare, commented on the initiative’s impact, stating, “Breaking fast on time is crucial for those observing Ramadan, yet many motorists find themselves stuck in traffic during Iftar. Over the last six years, we have witnessed how our Iftar kits provide much-needed relief, allowing individuals to break their fast safely and continue their journey without stress. We are honored to continue this initiative in collaboration with Dubai Police, ensuring we bring comfort and support to our community members during the holy month.”
First Lieutenant of Dubai Police, Abdullah Abdulrahman, also emphasized the importance of the initiative, saying, “We are proud to collaborate with Aster DM Healthcare for the 6th consecutive year to distribute Iftar Kits to motorists. Ramadan is a time of unity and generosity, and this initiative fosters a sense of community by ensuring that individuals on the road can break their fast with ease. Our partnership with Aster DM Healthcare reflects Dubai Police’s commitment to initiatives that promote safety, well-being, and compassion.”

Last year, the campaign successfully distributed 150,000 Iftar Kits across the UAE and 117,000 kits in the previous year. This year, the initiative has expanded its reach within Dubai, increasing the distribution to 150,000 kits and reinforcing Aster DM Healthcare’s dedication to supporting the community during Ramadan.
The campaign will run throughout the holy month, ensuring that commuters in Dubai receive nourishing Iftar meals, regardless of their circumstances. This initiative reflects the values of empathy, solidarity, and generosity that define the spirit of Ramadan.
