Successful Conclusion of the Third UAE China Tyre & Auto Parts Expo in Sharjah

Sharjah, UAE – June , 2024

The Third UAE China Tyre & Auto Parts Expo concluded triumphantly after a three-day run from May 27 to May 29, 2024, at the Expo Centre Sharjah. The event marked a significant milestone in the automotive industry, attracting 151 exhibitors from various regions in China, including Shandong, Jiangxi, Hebei, and Henan province, and showcasing a vast array of innovative products and technologies in Tyre, Auto Parts and Vehicle industry.

Hosted by Shandong Port Overseas Supply Chain (Qingdao) Co., Ltd and Hualun Inter Tech FZCO, co-hosted by Beijing United Information Technology Co., Ltd, organized by Inter Commerce Expo Corporation, the expo was a collaborative effort with support from numerous esteemed units, including the Economic & Commercial Counsellor’s office, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, Dubai Chamber of Commerce, Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Shandong Business Council in UAE, and Chinese provincial commerce departments of Shandong Province, Henan Province and Jiangxi Province.

The Expo occupied an impressive 10,000 square meters, featuring 151 exhibitors, 280 booths and drawing nearly 20,000 professional visitors from the Middle East, Africa, Central Asia, and South Asia. The event facilitated numerous business negotiations, resulting in an impressive total intended transaction value of $2.6 billion, with $1.45 billion attributed to tyre and auto parts deals and $1.15 billion related to automotive vehicles.

On the inauguration of the expo, H.E. Wu Yi, Economic & Commercial Counsellor, Consulate General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai, highlighted the deep-rooted economic ties between China and the UAE, noting, “The UAE is a pivotal partner in China’s Belt and Road Initiative, serving as a critical logistics hub that bridges China with the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. This Expo exemplifies our commitment to fostering robust industry exchanges and expanding our bilateral trade.”

H.E. Sheikh Majid Faisal Khalid Al Qasemi, First Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, echoed these sentiments, stating, “This Expo not only strengthens trade relations but also showcases cutting-edge advancements in the automotive sector. It underscores the UAE’s strategic role as a logistics hub for Chinese products, promoting sustainable practices and innovation.”

H.E. Sorayut Chasombat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the UAE, H.E. Julio Maiato, Ambassador of the Republic of Angola in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, H.E. Diaby Vacaba, Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to the UAE, H.E. Aklilu Kebede Erena, Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Dubai – U.A.E., H.E. Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO of Expo Centre Sharjah, Mr. Yang Xue, Representative of Shandong Provincial Government Economic and Trade Representative Office in West Asia and Africa and Mr. Qu Yan, President of Shandong Business Council in UAE attended the inauguration.

The Expo was a testament to the rapid growth and development of China’s tyre and auto parts industry. China, as the world’s largest producer of tyres and a major supplier of auto parts, continues to lead with its extensive production capacity and diverse, cost-effective products. Shandong Province, in particular, played a key role, reflecting its prominence in the global tyre and auto parts supply chain.

The event also featured the global launch of the CNAUTO cross-border e-commerce platform, enhancing the digitalization of trade and providing new avenues for international business collaborations.

With the resounding success of this year’s Expo, plans are already underway for the next edition, aiming to further enhance the platform for international cooperation and drive forward the development of the automotive industry globally.
