THE GREEN PLANET CELEBRATES EVERY KIND OF MOM THIS MOTHER’S DAY

To mark this special day, families can expect one free child meal from the child’s menu when two adult meals are purchased at The Green Planet Café

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 15 March 2022: The Green Planet believes in celebrating every kind of mom this Mother’s Day, both animal and human. Dubai’s only in-door rainforest, is home to some incredible animal moms who care for and lovingly raise their little ones, including Lemon who is the famous sloth mum who recently gave birth to Lime, the first baby sloth born in the region.

Human moms can also expect an amazing day out with their families, fully immersing themselves in the rain-forest experience with over 3000 plants and animals. There is no better place to fuel for the day of fun and exploration, than at The Green Planet Café. To mark this special day, families can expect one free child meal from the child’s menu when two adult meals are purchased.

So why not treat that special mom by taking her out for an unforgettable day with the family, to honor the wonderful mothers of the animal world that live and thrive at The Green Planet.

Newton is the mother cotton top tamarin. With her partner Einstein, they have twin boy and girl that were born June 2021. This was a huge celebration as they are critically endangered monkeys from Columbia with less than 1000 individuals left, so these babies are now officially part of the international conservation breeding program.

Lemon is the mother to baby Lime, our most famous new mother. With partner Liam, she had the first baby sloth in the region on Oct 16 2021. We celebrated baby lime in a huge gender reveal event in January and you can find them lazily chilling around the Green Planet biome.

Beatrix the Burmese Python, along with partner Allen had a clutch of 3 eggs last year. They were incubated and 3 baby Burmese pythons were born. The babies are already growing strong and fast and each have slightly different colorations like their mom and dad. Burmese pythons can grow up to 6m long but the babies were only 6 inches long when they hatched from their eggs.

Hope is the mother of Baby Loris. Her and her partner Lonely are The Green Planet’s rescued Slow Loris who were introduced to the public as part of our Lonely Loris Love story campaign. They have become important ambassadors for giving a voice to animals who were the victims of the illegal pet trade and we were all over joyed when their tragic past resulted now in a lifelong bond and a baby boy born in 2020.

Whether mom’s lay eggs, feed their babies milk, or care for them in another unique way, we are celebrating moms everywhere by highlighting some of the incredible Green Planet animal family mothers!
